So this weekend we had our first night w/o Ruby Belle...fun, but boy did i miss her!! Our in-laws (mom, dad, brother, sister) got us a night at the Hilton at the Branson Landing, dinner out, and FREE baby sitting (by Granma and Papa, of course!...i think there were alterior motives here! ha!) for Christmas and booked it for us for Feb. 13th in celebration of our engagement night! So sweet!! we decided to upgrade our room to the King Suite (or something like that) and it was SUPER nice! i love sleeping in style! The Hilton is right on the Landing (kinda like the Boardwalk in Shreveport), so we literally walked out of our hotel and were in the middle of all the shops and restaurants! we started the day off by dropping of Ruby Belle at Granma and Papa's and then headed out to tour 2 local winerys. then off to check in and then a nap!!!...much needed after a long week (or month) at work! then we headed out to dinner at Macaroni Grill (we don't have one here so it was "different" for us) and then to a pub all conveniently located less than a block from our suite! we had a great time and survived our first night away from our daughter. i even asked Justin if he was missing her at dinner and he replied, "i haven't even thought about her!" if only we could all be that laid back! ;) we, of course, missed her, but she had a blast w/o us i'm sure! all in all, it was a great getaway!!

How'd you do it!?!? Are you still pumping? I just can't imagine leaving her. Surely no one else can put her to bed as well as we do. Right? :-) We'll get brave & leave her one of these days...
That sounds so nice, Mandy! I got a good laugh out of Justin's "I haven't even thought about her" comment! Can you even imagine?? I remember never feeling ready to let Ashby spend the night away. Now with Hayes I can't wait until he gets old enough to spend a night away! ;)

yes, i'm still pumping. it was SO hard to leave her, but we had a blast. i definitely missed her the whole time though! and, of course, NO one can put her to bed like mommy does! ;)

it was nice...but SO hard to leave her! i mean it was less than 24 hrs, but i missed her SO much!! needless to say, we drank a lot so it helped numb the pain! :) i'm sure you're ready for a get away!! w/2 of them, i'm sure you're ready a LOT sooner!! :)
If you really wanted a romantic evening, you should have gone to Outback. Isn't that where the sparks first flew?

How many marriages came out of Outback - Rogers?? :) So strange.
On a side note. Isn't pumping fun?? (No). I don't even WANT to go anywhere away because I hate that stupid thing! It's like "hi, I already feel fat like a cow, oh look, I AM a cow..." :)
Maybe I'd hate it less if I weren't competing with grumpy fry-cooks wanting to use the ONLY bathroom at work during a shift... haha...awkward!

YES!!! i HATE pumping!! so fun. and a COW is putting it nicely! i hate being attached to that thing everywhere i go!! i must say i'm thankful i have my own office to pump in, but it is awkward when all my employees know that's what i'm in there doing! better than fry cooks wanting in to pee! :)
and yep...how many marriages?! 3 at least! crazy!
